Gulf Coast Bird Rescue (GCBR) is joining Tampa Bay Watch to celebrate National Estuaries Day and participating in monofilament clean up at the Sunshine Skyway Blackthorn Memorial Park and Fishing Pier. Join GCBR at this location Saturday, 27 September 2014 from 9am to 11am to help remove discarded or cut fishing line that causes extremely harmful injuries to our native birds. Take part with other GCBR volunteers in this fun and beneficial tradition and help restore the Tampa Bay area to its natural beauty at the same time.
To join us on the 27th, sign up on the Tampa Bay Watch website at https://app.etapestry.com/cart/TampaBayWatch/default/item.php?ref=869.0.466591878. This online signup page also provides a place to insert a comment and GCBR would be thrilled if you took a moment to note you are participating as a result of GCBR.
If you are unable to join us at the park and fishing pier, Tampa Bay Watch offers other locations that may be more convenient. Those with boats can participate on Bird Nesting Island Cleanup and signup at https://app.etapestry.com/cart/TampaBayWatch/default/item.php?ref=869.0.482015359.
Hope we see you on the 27th!
